Republican Meg Whitman is spending a record-breaking $160 million of her own money to be elected Governor. All so she can take a hatchet to our beleaguered public schools and colleges. Whitman's misguided budget plan calls for cutting $7 billion from an education system that already ranks near the bottom in per pupil spending nationwide.
