Dallas ISD to study public school-charter school partnerships

For years, Dallas school leaders tended to ignore charter schools. But with more and more campuses popping up, DISD is paying closer attention.
Superintendent Michael Hinojosa and several DISD trustees plan to examine successful relationships between public school districts and charter schools – and how the district might benefit from such arrangements. The Dallas school board has formed a committee of three trustees to oversee the venture. The group met for the first time Wednesday.
