Sacto 9-1-1: Sacramento schools security chief says he'll retire
The chief of security for Sacramento Unified School District, Vince Matranga, is retiring.

Matranga, 59, will retire at the end of the June but will remain with the district during a transition period.
He has been with the district for 36 years, the last 24 years as chief.
Matranga has been the public face of the district when vandalism, fire or violence has occurred on school campuses in the urban district.
