Participate in the 2010 “Candidate Forum”
Sacramento, CA.…The Black Parallel School Board (BPSB) invites you to participate in the” Candidates Forum” Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The forum will be held at our regularly scheduled meeting, Oak Park United Methodist Church, 3600 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95817. Please check-in and arrive by 10:45 am.

The purpose of the “Candidates Forum” is to stimulate community education and Black participation in the 2010 elections process. Our intention is to jump-start Black involvement in the political and electoral process throughout the year. Additionally, the forum will serve and inform the local Black population about offices, candidacies, ballot measures, and direction to maximum involvement of Black people in the political process.

Representatives of the various campaigns, i.e.; school board, city council, gubernatorial, assembly and congressional, as well as representatives of ballot measures and initiatives, will be invited. Please confirm your participation by 3:00pm April 19, 2010 by simply replying to this e-mail.
