Going Small: Progress and Challenges of Philadelphia’s Small High Schools examines Philadelphia's experience with small high schools and finds that “going small” is a promising strategy for fostering student success, especially for students who face the most signficant challenges. However, it cautions that size alone will not produce better schools. The report identifies the resources and supports that are needed to make small schools successful.
