Obama's Education Legacy: The Worst President Ever?
The end of almost 200 years of public education, the end of the concept of the neighborhood school, the promotion of charters no matter how crooked and self-serving, the destruction of teaching of a profession, the wipe out of teacher unions which even with their problems have often been the major bulwark defending schools and the students in them, the enormous waste of public monies into bogus reforms... we can go on -- and feel free to add on.
With so much talk about Obama's legacy and his concern with what it will be one day -- and it may take a decade for the full impact to be felt --- some honest journalist/historian will take a look back and judge Obama very harshly and his "legacy" will pay a big price. Good for him.
Now people like Mark Naison think in the 2nd term the worm may be turning as Obama begins to realize his ed policies are turning into a disaster----
