Just finished Sheila Bair's Exit Interview in the NYTimes Magazine. It's a pretty good read--- there's a section about how she was advocating a pretty strong loan modification program for homeowners during the meltdown and the President was interested; it's just that she got outgunned by Geithner, who wasn't really into helping homeowners.
