Dropkick Murphys
| March 1, 2011
Dropkick Murphys released an advance stream of Take 'Em Downfrom the band's new album Going Out In Style in February, in support of the Wisconsin public employee unions fighting the governor's attack on collective bargaining.
Ken Casey, bassist, vocalist, and founding member of the band in 1996, spoke with Labor Notes on February 28, just after a tour date in Wisconsin. They talked of Casey's personal background in the labor movement, and his thoughts on how musicians and artists can make a contribution.
Labor Notes: First of all, how did your gig in Milwaukee go the other night?
Ken Casey: Oh it was great. Milwaukee's been a great town for Dropkick Murphys and a lot of good frineds there.
