What can you do if your child's school is increasing class sizes?

As class sizes swell across the state and many districts are reducing their school year, parents can expect fewer parent-teacher conferences, less individual attention for their child, and less school in general. Educators worry about the impact larger class sizes will have on students and suggest more parents volunteer in the classroom. They also recommend parents spend time helping their children with homework. (Here are some tips.) Lastly, parents can contact the governor or their child’s school district to voice their concerns.
