NBC leaves charter schools out in the cold
I tuned in yesterday to see the Meet the Press education reform show featuring U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan, DCPS Chancellor Michelle Rhee, Emergency Financial Manager for the Detroit Public Schools Robert Bobb, and President of the American Federation of Teachers Randi Weingarten. The hero, as usual when it comes to public education stories, was Michelle Rhee who was presented and came across as just the person every American wants as their next school fixer-upper.
Today, the Washington Post's Courtland Milloy sets the record straight by pointing out that Miss Rhee is a disrespectful uninformed manager who has no idea how to communicate
