After five years at the helm of the state Department of Education, Gerald Zahorchak will step down May 7th. Zahorchak believes he leaves the department with a strong infrastructure to carry on: “There’s never, ever a good time to leave, but in an administration, it’s inevitable that you will have to leave. I think we’ve created the kind of systems in this administration that will be bridges that have been built that will be walked over for a long, long time.” |
