Valero (VLO) Causing Problems in Texas Too -- For Schools and Local Governments

Here's another reason to boycott Valero, the Texas oil company banking the dirty energy proposition. The company is a bad corporate citizen in its home state too.
According to a Houston Chronicle article today, the company is seeking to rob millions from school districts and local governments by claiming tax credits for equipment http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6959428.html. Staff at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality are fighting the company, saying it doesn't deserve the credits. But Valero has given thousands of dollars to conservative Republican Governor Rick Perry, and is appointees on the Commission appear to be bucking the recommendation of staff.
