Valuing Public Education: A 50 State Report Card
The Network for Public Education has exciting news to share.
On February 2, 1:30 p.m., at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., NPE President Diane Ravitch will release a major new report from the Network for Public Education that evaluates how well each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia support their public schools. Each state will be evaluated on six important criteria. Diane will present the key findings of the report and discuss specific policies that will help strengthen our nation’s public schools.
This special event and discussion will interest all policymakers, advocates, and educators committed to improving public schools. That same day we will release the report on this website, along with an interactive map, that shows each state’s grades. We will also provide separate one page reports for every state.
