Thompson: Partial Takeover Of LAUSD Only Beginning For Bloomberg
The outcome of last Tuesday’s Los Angeles School Board election might have seemed anticlimactic, writes Education Tweak inBloomberg Acquires Partial Stake in LAUSD, but the education journal of farce explains that the partial takeover is a part of a longterm strategy:"Bloomberg’s spokesperson, Ollie Garkey, insists that further acquisitions in this and other districts will take place over the next several years.” Bloomberg still intends to “'liquidate unproductive assets in the LAUSD and we expect new investors to join our team.'”
