Parents Want Free Schools But They Feel Local Authorities Should Manage Them - New Research From London Councils

New research from London Councils show that parents want local authorities to be involved in running schools even if they are "free schools".

Ipsos Mori, on behalf of London Councils, surveyed nearly 700 London parents and carried out a series of focus groups on greater parental involvement in education.

They found that while many parents want to be involved with their child’s school, they don’t necessarily want to be directly involved in running and managing it on a day to day basis. Juggling
