Telephone Town Hall for ESEA Activists!




Register for the activist telephone town hall with AFT president Randi Weingarten for a briefing on ESEA and NCLB.

A final vote on ESEA is stalled in the House, but the Senate is working on its own version. Over the next couple of weeks, we will need to encourage senators and representatives to fix the federal education law in a meaningful way by finding solutions that will mitigate poverty’s impact on children from low-income families. 

To continue this discussion and help us in our work, AFT President Randi Weingarten will hold a telephone town hall, with activists like you, this Wednesday, March 11, at 8 p.m. Eastern time, to discuss what we need to do to continue the fight to get ESEA back to its original intent and level the playing field for all children.
