Perth Amboy school board votes again to place superintendent on paid leave

Board members, citing state law, invoked a "doctrine of necessity", allowing members to vote despite conflicts of interest. On April 25, the board voted 4-0 to remove Caffrey, with five members abstaining, with four citing conflicts as relatives work for the district.
Tonight’s vote was 6-0 to place Caffrey on leave, with three members not voting.
