Hello! I was a little reticent in last week’s posting about the lab. I think that reflected some of where I was at then. The first week is about establishing routines. Every year, the kids get cranky because I insist we review the rules, and wait to let them on the computers and Internet. Also, I have to do a lot of direct instruction going through the rules. Cheryl Moodie, one of six people who filed last month to run for the District VIII school board seat, has withdrawn from the race because she failed to meet the state mandate that candidates have lived in Texas for a full 12 months. Moodie, a consultant and former high-level hospitality executive, moved to a luxury highrise in Houston earlier this year from Louisiana.
