A record number of Illinois high school seniors tookcollege-level courses last year, but the percentage who passed the exams remained divided along racial lines, a report released Wednesday found. South suburban Homewood-Flossmoor High School led the nation in the number of African-American students who earned at least a 3 on the AP psychology exam. It is the second straight year the school earned the designation. (Chicago Tribune)
