Getting Out of Things
Picky, I know, but here's what the Northwest Daily Herald is saying:
Pension reform continues to be a hot issue across the country, particularly in Illinois where the Legislature is expected to deal with the matter in a special session on Aug. 17.
We all are stakeholders in pension reform, whether you're a teacher, a DMV employee, or a private-sector taxpayer. How Illinois chooses to get itself out of its $83 billion pension liability will affect us all.I know they don't come right out and say it, but teachers are taxpayers, too. There's always this hint in the air
