by KYW's John McDevitt A Montgomery County court has ordered striking teachers in the North Penn School District back to work on Tuesday. All students were expected to report to school on Tuesday at their regular times. Teachers went on strike one week ago, April 19th (see related story). Christine Liberaski is manager of school and community engagement for the school district: "There are no talks planned. However on Wednesday -- again, with Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas -- they'll be looking at whether they'll need to mandate bargaining between the two parties. The teachers' union has asked the judges to look at that." Teacher salaries are at the heart of the dispute. Nearly 1 |
