As readers know, the corridors of political power are filled with the bad breath of seething lobbyists looking for politicians on the take. Many of them have been busy breaking the law, failing to disclose their ties to for-profit Wall Street firms and some have even hidden their lobbying ties and currently hold high level political positions.
Snaking through the halls of federal or state legislative bodies with boodles of cash to spend is the lobbyist’s job. Once the money is taken by the coin-operated politician then another obligation arises: namely, to assure that the political services ‘paid for’ are carried out.
The following is a recent letter sent to Kamala Harris, the Attorney General of California by the United Public Workers for Action, asking her office to investigate potential conflicts of interest and possibly criminal activities
