News item: A Chicago area science teacher resigned after allegedly spraying two students with Lysol when they refused to put on their goggles at the beginning of an experiment. Another example of a teacher who clearly didn’t have the control of their emotions as every teacher must.
There must be a way to weed out potential teachers who clearly don’t have the personality type to maintain control of their emotions no matter what might happen in their classroom. I have devised the TTS (Teacher Temperate Scale), a rating system that should give a clear picture of which potential teachers will be emotionally acceptable, and which ones do not have the self-control needed to handle any classroom situation.
The following scenarios and questions comprise the TTS:
