WHAT CAN BE DONE ? « Teachers Fight Back

WHAT CAN BE DONE ? « Teachers Fight Back:

WHAT CAN BE DONE ?

I find it amazing that so many people are just throwing up their hands and saying it’s impossible to make sure all our schools are secure at all times. It’s impossible only if you find that it would be too expensive. There are many ways that schools could be made secure and Connecticut type attacks could be prevented. We have soldiers in over 150 countries in the world. We have 47,000 in Germany alone. What are they doing there ?  Waiting for the Cold War to end ? We have 500,000 National Guard soldiers. I would suggest we put just two National Guard soldiers in each school on a rotating basis. They could be in civilian clothes and have a concealed weapon. No need to frighten anyone. They don’t actually have to be IN the school, just right outside
