Subject: Fwd: An IEA explanation of the “language amended into SB 2404″
I am forwarding this to you because you had asked various questions about the pension reform bill. As you know, IRTA remains steadfastly opposed to any diminishment of your pensions and benefits. We are prepared to fight those in court.
Apparently IEA and IFT are not. They support the legislation.
I wish they were as loyal to their members as they are to the We Are One coalition.
IRTA would like to double our legal defense fund just in case.

Take your polls. The Constitutional issues are complex. But ask the members.

Some in the IEA leadership want to blame me because people are starting to ask questions.
The leadership of the the IEA has pissed off large sections of the membership with the We Are One/Cullerton deal.
