Tonight the future of 10 Sacramento schools will be decided by a board of seven. We'll be live blogging the meeting of the Sacramento City Unified School District's board of education, and will pay particular attention to the fate of Washington Elementary School, which is among the 10 on the chopping block. 
With that in mind, please let us know any questions or concerns you may have regarding the meeting, and its potential impact to the Midtown community. Our live coverage will kick off here at 6:15 p.m. The meeting starts at 6:30 in the Serna Center community conference room, at 5735 47th Ave.
The district superintendent's "right-sizing" plan is an effort to sync up the number of schools with the declining number of students. It was announced in mid-January, and critics have said the process is being pushed forward without enough transparency or time. If enacted, the closures would go into effect for the 2013-2014 school year.
