Charter schools are for quitters

Charter schools represent resignation all across the board. To advocate for charter schools is to see the challenges in public education, to see the hard work needed, and to run away. Charter schools are for quitters. They are for the cowardly and weak.

Charter schools are not education reform - they are for people who quit trying to reform education.
Yes, there is excess bureaucracy, excess regulation, and mindless standardization in our schools. It's a real problem. The real solution is to reform our public school institutions. But charter school advocates see what a job that would be and they quit. They decide that it is too much work or too hard, so they aren't even going to try to reform our public education system; they will just start over with a blank sheet. And what do they do? Ironically, the bulk of them create a school that is no different from the public schools. Charter school advocates
