When we last rewrote America’s major K-12 education law, no one had an iPhone and Facebook did not exist.

The world has changed, and it is time to update the law to ensure that every child receives a great education. This is both a matter of basic fairness and civil rights — and critical to U.S. economic strength in the hypercompetitive global marketplace.
