Survey shows little support for charter schools

Parents, teachers and the community at large all had different issues in the top spot of our survey of most-pressing issues facing our schools today.

But they agreed on one thing: We're not interested in charter schools.

Charter schools finished last with each of those groups. Why the low score?

"It's just that charter schools are not well known in this area," said community volunteer Jerry Caillier.
