Facilitator News for August 2011

Good first Monday morning in August!

I want to thank those of you who attended the Leader to Leader conference in July. It was a highly significant event that has kicked off big changes in the way ASCD does business. Our goal is to revolutionize the way we work, so that we can revolutionize the way children learn! It’s a very exciting time to be a part of ASCD!

With change comes opportunity and nervousness. What will this mean? What will it look like? How does it affect me and my work? Those answers will become clear in the months to come as we figure them out. What is evident today as I write to you is that business as usual is no longer being conducted at ASCD. All current practices and programs are on the table as we look to determine how we will transform ourselves into a twenty-first century organization. Everything is being examined. Some things we will choose to continue to carry forward with us; others we will not.
