MADISON —The hundreds of people who have called the Capitol home these past two weeks last week have formed a village, demonstrating a common determination to sleep on marble, fight for a common cause and make a heck of a lot of noise.

People here have papered the Capitol's pillars and walls with thousands of signs and they've run stands to distribute food and first aid. They've conducted classes and vigils and too many drum circles, chants and marches to count.
