Amid a seven-way contest for three East Side school board seats, last year's disputes have all but vanished like fireworks dissipating into the dark -- even though the focus of last year's uproar is one of the candidates. Former Superintendent Bob Nuñez is seeking to join the board that ousted him from his job.
