If you are looking for a job in the area of test development, there’s some good news. Pearson, the world’s largest education company, is advertising for test item writers and you apparently don’t have to have a bachelor’s degree. It is just “preferred.” Here’s the ad on the Pearson Web site:

A bachelor’s degree is preferred with experience in item writing, teaching, or developing state standards, curriculum, or tests or test-preparation activities. Opportunities exist in the following content areas:

•Social Studies
Other job opportunities exist for those who want to score standardized tests — but in this case, a bachelor’s degree is required. Here’s a recent ad by Kelly Services from Craigslist Indianapolis (because where else would you look for standardized test scorers?):
