David Holmquist, the district's chief lawyer, said in a most recent press release
"It is unfortunate that the state has created such a cumbersome and costly dismissal process," Holmquist said. "As a school district, we took the leadership to work with state legislators to give us the final authority to fire teachers accused of misconduct. Unfortunately, the bill that was passed this session does not provide adequate protection for our students."
When in reality LAUSD and its incompetent administrative staff continues to trample over permanent teachers constitutional rights.

Perdaily has document countless horror stories but none more egregious as that of a UTLA chapter chair at Broadus Elementary falsely accused of misconduct after he filed a child abuse report on a student who was being abused by a parent and the school administrator had refused to make the report.

After being placed in the District's North Teacher Detention Center (teacher Jail), although he faced no charges by the local policing authority, the teacher, Jim Hill, was subject of an administrative review conducted by Linda Del Cueto, the former local superintendent and highest-ranking official in the San Fernando Valley, who recently was demoted and reassigned to an administrative post in the Central Office of Curriculum and Instruction.
