PTA Children's Clothes Closet PURPOSES OF THE PTA To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship. To raise the standards of home life. To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth. To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth. To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education. Did you know that Sacramento Council of PTAs  supply students with much needed clothing and uniforms to attend school?    TWO LOCATIONS: Click here for flyer Leonardo da Vinci Elementary School at 4701 Joaquin Way (old boy's locker room in rear of school) Telephone: 277-4338  Open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am- 2:00 pm (by appointment) SCUSD Enrollment Center at 5601 47th Avenue, Room 24 Telephone: 643-2362 (uniforms and socks & undies)  Open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am-2:00 pm (walk-ins accepted) ************** How can you and your school support the PTA Clothes Closet and make a difference for our students?  Our Top 3 Needs:  Monetary donations from individuals, PTA or parent groups to help pay operating costs; Provide volunteers to help at the Clothes Closet (wash, sort, display clothing); and Pick up Lost and Found items at your school site and deliver to the Clothes Closet. Other ways you can help: Inform families about the services that are available for them; Write newsletter articles to families encouraging donations of clothing and monies; Let high school students know that Community Service hours are available.
