Kelli Stargel’s Top-Shelf Hypocricy in Labeling Opponents to Her Parent Trigger Bill

Sen. Kelli Stargel (R-Lakeland) took exception to he hometown newspaper’s thumbs down on the parent trigger bill she’s sponsoring. As most observers say that passage of this year’s bill in the senate is a slam dunk, it’s puzzling why Stargel would want to draw attention to herself and her controversial bill. She wrote this in a letter to the editor of the Lakeland Ledger:
Unfortunately, this paper has chosen the defeatist idea that parents do not know or care to have a say in what is best for their children. This is a dangerous mantra believing only the bureaucrats know what is best. I wholeheartedly disagree.
