When will it ever end?
Here comes yet another “reform” movement to improve the education of our school kids.
Let’s see, this is “reform” effort number 537…or is it 538?
Seems like every governor is not really the governor unless he or she takes a whack at
this age old problem: Our kids can’t read, or write, or do math, or even compose a letter to get a job…text messaging has turned our children into non-spellers who can't construct a complete sentence if their lives depended on it.
Try to get a job without those skills?
Enter modern-day Gov. Rick Snyder, trying to pick up where Gov. Granholm, Gov. Engler, Gov. Blanchard and Gov. Milliken left off.
Ugh.
Instead of forming a grandiose Education Reform Commission chaired by some distinguished former university president, minimalist business guy Mr. Snyder enlisted a local attorney to cobble together the latest reinvention scheme.
