I used to be a testing coordinator, and from that experience, I can tell you one thing about the NAEP: I don't hate it. First of all, it's administered by an organized group of specialists, not shoved into the already crazy-hectic day of school teachers. Second, it's done through sampling, so not every child in America has to endure test after test after test, as they will in Arne Duncan's America.
