School District U-46 believes it is now in compliance with parental involvement requirements at Channing Elementary School after being admonished by the state Board of Education.

“In general, I think the effect on Channing has been a feeling of greater collaboration among staff and parents and leadership to make decisions for our students and a feeling of greater transparency as to what decisions are being made and why,” new Principal Selene Stewart told the U-46 school board Tuesday.
