“The legislators I talked to in recent weeks all said that (they) have continued to receive letters, phone calls, emails, and visits from those opposed to SB512. They know that voting for this bill will earn them opposition from a formidable bloc of energized voters that will never forget their transgression. 2012 is a year where every single legislator is up for reelection and is running in a new district.”
