Emanuel Price of Black Parent Initiative wins Portland Peace Prize

Jefferson High School’s Senior Inquiry class last week awarded the Portland Peace Prize to Emanuel Price of theBlack Parent Initiative.

The students, after studying Nobel Peace Prize winners researched people working for peace on the local level and came up with twenty nominees. They interviewed each one.

Price says of his interview: “I guess it took about 45 minutes. I was impressed by how professional and focused the students were. They had me under pressure. They really challenged me.”
