Ideology Trumps Everything
As I mentioned in a letter to my state representative, all unfunded mandates for the Race to the Top here in Illinois should be immediately shelved until the state is back on its feet. What is not clear is whether or not the queen of Illinois education, Robin Steans, who is no stranger to my state senator, will accept anything other than full-bore spending on data systems, even during this recession, which as everyone knows was caused by Chicago public school teachers.
