Dear Friend This Saturday at noon, Wisconsin solidarity rallies are taking place in major cities—including every state capital, and in many other places. Working people across the country will join in a massive, national show of solidarity with embattled workers in Wisconsin and other states. Events are planned for all 50 state capitals.
We’ve all been inspired by the incredible events at the Wisconsin state capitol—now it’s time to help keep that energy going and growing throughout America.

The protests in Wisconsin have inspired us all and created an opportunity we’ve got to seize. For too long, CEOs and the politicians whose campaigns they financed have dominated the debate over the economy. But this time, they’ve gone too far. America is listening—and Saturday we’ll make our voices heard for good, middle-class jobs and working families who need them.
Unions, community and faith groups and progressive allies led by MoveOn.org are alerting their members about these solidarity rallies, which are an opportunity for all Americans who have been touched by Wisconsin to come together, show support and build power in our own communities.

It’s up to us to show our solidarity and make sure the amazing energy in Wisconsin spreads to the rest of the country, so the politicians who claim we can cut our way to prosperity don’t win the day.
The CEO-backed attacks on workers aren’t limited to Wisconsin—they’re happening in at least a dozen states. And in Washington, Republican deficit hypocrites are threatening to shut the government down next week unless Democrats agree to massive cuts to everything from job safety to education and food aid for hungry children.
Saturday’s rallies in state capitals across the country—and everything that’s been happening in Wisconsin and other states—are a critical moment we must seize. We have a real chance to shift our national debate and make the voices of working families heard.
