Report Highlights the Achievement of 17 Participating Urban School Districts Nationwide


WHAT:Release of The Nation's Report Card: Science 2009, Trial Urban District Assessment (TUDA), Grades 4 and 8

On Jan. 25, the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Science 2009 Report Card was released with national and state results. Now, a separate science report card for fourth and eighth graders in 17 of the nation's largest urban school districts will be released. The districts are Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore City, Boston, Charlotte-Mecklenburg, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Fresno, Houston, Jefferson County (Louisville, Ky.), Los Angeles, Miami-Dade, Milwaukee, New York City, Philadelphia and San Diego. NAEP Science 2009 measures student performance in physical science, life science and Earth and space sciences.
