January 31, 2011 (CHICAGO)--City Clerk and mayoral candidate Miguel del Valle stood this morning with long-time residents of del Valle’s former state senatorial district to rally supporters for early voting and to declare that “we can progress in the City of Chicago.”

“We were the first campaign to announce a candidate for mayor, we were the first to open a campaign office, and we were the first to start petitions,” del Valle said at a press conference at the Teresa Roldán Apartments on Paseo Boricua in Humboldt Park. “We will also be the first, in 28 years, to pull an upset win in one of this city’s most historic elections.”
