Recall's message shouldn't be ignored

It's a mix with all the kick of a holiday punch: One part seriousness, three parts silliness. Shaken, not stirred.
First, it was reported that an Opelousas couple angry with Gov. Bobby Jindal's cuts to health care and education had initiated a recall petition against the governor. That's an interesting development, given that recall efforts are rare. It's also pretty much irrelevant, since one has never been successful in Louisiana and there's nothing to suggest this one will be any different.
Then, within 24 hours, it was learned that one-half of said couple wanted nothing to do with the recall and was trying to distance herself from the effort.
