Director of White House Hispanic Education Initiative to Address 2010 Hispanic Scholarship Fund Education Summit
Juan SepĂșlveda, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans, will deliver the VIP pre-summit luncheon keynote address during the 2010 Hispanic Scholarship Fund Education Summit Tuesday in New York. SepĂșlveda will highlight the Obama administration's strategies to increase Latino students' access to a quality education.
Education Technology Director to Give Keynote Address at Forum on “Unleashing Technology to Personalize Learning”

Karen Cator, director of the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Educational Technology, will give the keynote address at Education Week’s Leadership forum on “Unleashing Technology to Personalize Learning” on Tuesday Oct. 5 in Washington, D.C. The meeting is the first of two Leadership Forums sponsored by Education Week. Unleashing Technology to Personalize Learning is an interactive forum for district-level personnel charged with maximizing the effectiveness of technology in education.
Cator will discuss the ways in which modern technologies can be used to create engaging and interesting, personalized learning environments, to improve the achievement of this generation of students, and give another keynote address at the second forum in Boston Friday, Oct. 8.
Discussions at the all-day forums will include building a successful district e-learning program; customizing district assessments to raise achievement; using ed-tech tools for individualizing education; and engaging students in the digital age.
