A.M. Top News: Obama to urge students to 'dream big' during back-to-school speech in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — President Obama will stress the importance of education today, addressing the country's students during his second annual back-to-school speech in Philadelphia.

The White House released the text of Obama's speech Monday so school officials across the country could decide whether to allow students to tune in during the school day.

In the text, the president urges students to "dream big," "work hard" and "stay focused," despite troubles plaguing the entire country.

"I know a lot of you are also feeling the strain of these difficult times. You know what’s going on in the news and your own family’s lives. You read about the war in Afghanistan. You hear about the recession we’ve been through. You see it in your parents’ faces and sense it in their voice ... It'
