VERNON, Conn.—Federal officials say "People's Gardens" have now opened in every state, including two in Connecticut.
U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says more than 400 of the gardens have opened nationwide since his agency broke ground on the first one last year at its Washington headquarters.
The gardens are intended to provide communities with food and leisure space. The collaborations between volunteers and organizations include sustainable
