Florida professor Neil Shay picked to lead Oregon Wine Research Institute

Oregon State University has named Neil F. Shay, a University of Florida professor and chair of the food science and human nutrition department, as the first head of the new Oregon Wine Research Institute.

Shay, who holds numerous degrees in fields such as biochemistry and molecular biology, will be charged with connecting OSU's research and extension programs with Oregon's grape growers and winemakers.
